The Extras on our books are out there on the Front line representing our Agency, so we want to make sure that they are really suitable for this type of work............How do you shape up?

Have you got the Look?
Extras come in all shapes, sizes and ages. Our starting age is 16 and we have people on our books in their eighties! We will probably ask you to send in a recent snapshot when you call us, it's just to give us an idea of what category you fall into. Depending on what type of people we need at the time, you could be just what we're looking for! If you send us a photo, make sure it shows us clearly how you look at the moment - and follow it up with a phone call a few days later to make sure we have received it. 

Are you available?
Most Extras work happens during the week and during the daytime, if you can only work nights and weekends we probably won't want to see you. But if you work part-time, casual or have a flexible schedule, this could be just the thing for you. Don't forget, the amount of work available varies depending on the industry and our requirements.

What type of person are you?
Extras work can be anywhere at any time, so you need to be 100% reliable, punctual and professional. If you like lying in bed all morning it won't happen! If you enjoy doing something a bit different, meeting new people in a new environment, have a confident, outgoing and relaxed personality and an interest in the industry, you're well on your way to your first job!

What else do I need?
Well, a car helps to get around but isn't essential. If you don't have one you need to be able to get around easily on Public Transport. You will need to live within reach of the Sydney metropolitan area. A good basic wardrobe helps too, such as a few changes of neat casual, smart casual, and a corporate look if appropriate. You will need to arrange an appointment to come and meet us and to learn more about the Agency.

Will it cost me anything?
If you do not have suitable, current photographs, you will need to get some done - we can recommend various photographers but you are not obliged to use them. This is at your own expense and generally these costs are tax deductible. You are also expected to cover the costs of having your composite cards made, (they are the cards with your photo on that we send our Clients), and we do expect everyone to go on our secure Database - that is where many of our Clients look for Talent and where much of our work comes from. The cost of composite cards and to be on our Database for 12 months is $170 + gst. (This is generally tax-deductible also). Payment is not required until you have been accepted into the Agency after a thorough interview.
